League of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia (SKOJ, Serbia)
Dear comrades,
In the name of the League of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia (SKOJ), as well as the entire working youth of Serbia, I greet you all and wish you a successful discussion!
The Victory of the Korean people, led by Great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, in their struggle against US imperialism is an important event for the entire World that, 73 years later, still inspires those who struggle for popular sovereignty, self-reliance and socialism. The Korean war, provoked by the USA and its puppet allies, was the first out of many imperialist offensives against socialist camp. The heroic Korean people, helped by the comrades from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, were the first to firmly stand against the barbaric goals of the West. The selfless sacrifice of the Korean people prevented the destruction of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, its subjugation to the capitalist exploiters, as well as the weakening of the World Communist movement. Without the communist Victory in Korea there would be no victories such as those in Vietnam and Cuba and it is even possible that the defeat of Korea would have resulted in the defeat of the People’s Republic of China and maybe even the USSR itself. Therefore, it is safe to assume that in 1953. Comrade Kim Il Sung did not only save his people, but the entire communist movement.
In the decades after the Korean war, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea continued to serve as a strong Headquarters of Revolution. We, the comrades from Yugoslavia, are especially proud of the friendship between our peoples and close relations maintained by Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Josip Broz Tito. After the temporary dissolution of the socialism in Eastern Europe, it is the DPRK which first tried to gather and organize the remaining communist parties in order to strengthen the weakened communist movement. At the same time, despite brutal sanctions and pressures of the advancing imperialist camp, the DPRK leadership stood firm in their defense of socialist system and the immortal idea of Juche. Today, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea stands as the most staunch socialist country, an example to be followed by millions of communists around the World.
Under the leadership of the Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the Korean people experienced a true national rejuvenation and the development unprecedented in history. At the same time, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea once again stands in the front ranks of the struggle against imperialism. The Korean soldiers were the only ones who joined their Russian comrades in the heroic struggle against Ukrainian fascism in the Kursk region. It is worth emphasizing that Russia wages a war not only against fascist regime of Zelensky, but the entire NATO alliance which is willing to sacrifice every Ukrainian in order to achieve its goal―the total subjugation of the Russian people to the will of imperialism. Therefore, each Korean soldier that fought in the Kursk region acted as a massive obstacle to the further spread of imperialism. The friendship between Russia and the DPRK, forged in the struggle against the puppets of the USA, serves as an integral part of the anti-imperialist axis of resistance. DPRK and Russia, together with China and Iran, are currently the only countries that can not only effectively resist the USA and its allies, but also deal a series of fatal blows that will end the global dominance of imperialism.
Young people of Serbia, as well as the other nations that are currently part of the imperialist camp, shouldn’t wait for the inevitable defeat of imperialism. Instead, they have an important role of not only weakening the imperialist system from within, but also providing an active support to the socialist and anti-imperialist countries. They should draw their inspiration from the selflessness of the Korean people both during the Korean war, as well as the current struggle against Kiev fascist regime. At the same time, they should be aware that the well-being experienced by the Korean people under the leadership of the Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un can also be achieved in the West, but only after the final defeat of imperialism and capitalism. We, the comrades of SKOJ, are certain that this victory will be achieved through common, internationalist struggle of the peoples of DPRK, Russia and all other oppressed workers and peasants!
